This picture was intended as an homage to a friend astronomer. It stemmed from our conversations about the Universe and my newly found insight in regards to love filled maternal type of Universe.
Looking at origins and identity within the dust of time, lost meanings, lies, convictions, memories, fake smiles ....
My friend Marian was given a dream..... in this dream she was told to mend the Earth that was unraveling .... she found out that she has a spool of golden thread in place of her hearth and so she started to work ....
... these two canvases are about 120 by 130 cm together .... the content is dealing with the idea of personal "beasts"/fears and a question of how to deal with them ...... it is based on a traditional story about saint Priscilla as retold by Czech writer Karel Shultz in his small collection of Legends .....
..... my kids say that they hope I will soon get over my "rice paper period" ...
this is a collagraph print made using an "original" paper bag ... I tried to play with similar 'ready mades' like tea-bag in other prints .....
...now this image was not called 'horse' !!!!!! it was called "who's leading who" .... don't know which title is more weird now.....
